XXIV Compasso d’Oro ADI – Exhibition Design, Milano – IT, 2016
Competition, 1st Prize
Concept design proposal and project management
The XXIV ADI Compasso d’Oro exhibition took place in Milan in the courtyard and the halls of the historic building Palazzo Isimbardi.
The awards for products, assigned every two years by a panel of international experts, represent the highest recognition in Italian design and have been presented since 1954.
In occasion of its 24th edition, on display were 237 design products from every category, ranging from furniture to lighting, from transport to services and personal items, all physically present or visible on video.
The winning competition proposal is centred on the concept of the circle as a consolidating figure.
The circular shapes, evoking the compass movement, define the display supports, the exhibition path and its different thematic islands.
A golden carpet offers a unifying background for the exhibited products, recalling the Award’s identity and spreading its past and present glamour to bright future editions.
